I just... I JUST... life got crazy (mostly in good ways!) so I was too busy having crazy life adventures to post... but then school started and I realized that I feel really weird and lost and unmotivated this year, and somehow that spread to even the thought of posting nerdy doodles on the internet, even though that is usually what makes me feel better. BUT INSTEAD I BECAME A BALL OF STRESS WHO WAS TOO STRESSED TO EVEN CHECK LIVEJOURNAL BECAUSE THEN I WOULD FEEL LIKE I WAS MISSING OUT AND GET MORE STRESSED

And yet at the same time I miss my LJ peeps :(

 I am drawing right now for the fist time in forever. It feels soooooo goooood.... while still feeling horrible somehow because I'm rusty and feel like I suck, but I'm working on that.

HAS THIS BEEN GOING ON FOR YEARS AND NO ONE EVER TOLD ME??!

I AM STILL HERE
and done with a very, very busy school year.

It makes me so sad that I've been absent from LJ for so long... I have this feeling like the internet world has passed me by :P but I've been occupied with a lot of epicness, so I can't complain. Among things that I really should post about in greater detail are:

- Anime Boston aka THE MOST RIDICULOUS AND AMAZING THREE DAYS OF MY LIFE 
- My 21 page original comic (that was the main contributing factor to me dropping off the face of the earth)
- The fact that I watched all of Community since I last posted (TIME WELL SPENT.)

Anyway, after a rejuvenating few weeks home in Hawaii chilling with my dog and my family and friends and a visiting a capella group of dashing young men (who were all extremely fly, my life was basically like I was chilling with the host club for a week - yes, be jelly) I've come back to NYC! I don't even know if I can put into words how excited I am for this summer or how awesome it already is. I'm living in a great area in an apartment shared with two of my best friends in the whole world, elisagynkai  and mostly_filler ; I got an animation internship at a studio in Brooklyn which I am SO excited for (ohmygosh I never thought I'd be able to experience what it's like to work in an animation studio before leaving college... or ever); I'm taking a Japanese class so I don't get too rusty; I might have found a promising job opportunity (fingers crossed there); and I'm actually SIRIUSLY going to Leakycon in July.

So in short, everything I talked idly about doing for months and everything I hoped would happen is actually happening. I'm so, so grateful and so pumped up for everything that I'm just sdlkfjsdlfkjsdflkj ALL OVER THE PLACE.

SO, WE MEET AGAIN LJ, IT'S BEEN TO LONG. I'll try to make it up to you with all manner of doodle posting and random geek rambles this summer, as used to be status quo, because no matter how many great things I get to be occupied with this summer... it still leaves a hell of a lot more free time than when I'm in school.

This past weekend, I went to visit my friend at Yale. And I went to a party dressed as Envy from Fullmetal Alchemist.  It was a "7 Sins" themed party - my friends and I could not pass up this chance, and so we went as Envy, Lust, and Gluttony. We spontaneously whipped up these costumes in about a week using only thrift stores and red duct tape, too XD

The following night ended with me and sarry_potter  in the basement of a frat house observing the goings-on and turning all our observations into research for a hilariously in-depth college AU FMA fanfic. I've never really been able to overcome my feelings of weirdness to write fanfic before now... buuuuut IT'S HAPPENING. IT IS ON, GET EXCITED. I took three pages of notes on ideas for this story. While at a frat party. LEGENDARY.
